Some Questions That Need to Be Answered

posted by Etta Worthington

I'm sorry. That sounded ominous. That sounded like more bad news.  It isn't,  actually.

This is something referred to me by Micki, and I had to share it. Because it seemed much better than what I was going to write.

She printed these questions out and put them on her refrigerator.

Technically we are not quarantined, but it feels like it. I am being particularly careful because I am in that higher risk group, so I'm not going out.

I think my blog post for today will be my answers to these questions.

1. What am I grateful for today?
For a warm house and a pantry full of food.

2. Who am I checking in on or connecting with today?
Well, I talked to Micki and Ruth so far today.  I will call a couple of other people as well.

3. What expectations of "normal" am I letting go of today?
Ha! The calendar. Suddenly my calendar is mostly blank. It's a little dizzying and disorienting. But I am starting to feel good about that and see it as freedom.

4. How am I getting outside today?
I have to drop something at the post office. Well, I could leave it in my mail slot, but I have the time. I will walk to the post office.

5. How am I moving my body today?
See answer to number 4. (And I may come up with something more as well for today.)

6. What beauty am I either creating, cultivating, or inviting in today?
Hmm.  I will write a haiku today.  I will share that with you tomorrow.

There! I have gotten through my list for today!  Yep, that's right. This is for EVERY DAY. And today is a great day to start.

Thanks, Micki. And I'd like to know what's on your list today?  You can post in the comments, if you like.
